Simmons gets back to back wins in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Zach Audet comes out on top in the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders

For Immediate Release BRS-081019-1

Richie Simmons finds himself in the right place at the right time, when a post race inspection disqualification of the race winner gives him his second win in as many weeks. Kenny Schrader’s night cut short in the USAC DMA Midgets when his fuel pump failed eliminating him from the feature. Zach Audet gets his first win in the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders.
In the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds it looked to be all Mike Ryan as his second row starting position gave him the opportunity to get to the front early, where he would stay. Ryan saw the checkers first, his first win in the mods. The caution laden event gave the heavy hitters an opportunity for them to work their way to the front as the laps ticked off. Coming from the final qualifying spot Richie Simmons was one of those as he worked his way to the bridesmaid position by the time the checkers waved. Along the way he picked up Todd Buckwold and Kevin Chaffee. Simmons and Buckwold joined Ryan in victory lane content with their second and third place finishes. The post-race inspection found Ryan illegal resulting in disqualification, putting Simmons in the top spot for the second week in a row. Buckwold and Chaffee are credited with the second and third place spots with Matt Lashua and Tim Tucker completing the top five.
In the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes almost everyone is a winner. Now the honors are being credited to multiple feature winners. So far only three drivers are able to claim the honors with Tanner Siemons being the third one to join the elite group. Melvin Pierson helped push him to the front thru their main event. Chris LaForest joined the freight train, and the three of them marched their way to the checkers. This is how they would cross the line with your current points leader Brian Chaffee finishing in fourth and Jeremy Hodge crossing the line in fifth.
The USAC DMA Midgets were awarded the honor of having legendary Kenny Schrader in competition driving one of the Matczak stable cars. Starting from last in his heat race he crossed the line in third place and looked to be the one to watch in the main event. Unfortunately a faulty fuel pump eliminated him from competing in the main event. Will Hull another member of the Matczak stable and your current points leader took his machine to the front and claimed his fifth win of the season. Justin Phillips comes home in second for the second time this year with Joe Krawiec claiming third. Jeffrey Champagne and Seth Carlson rounded out the top five.
In the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models Flyn Ryan Christian claims yet another win crossing the line first. Joining him in victory lane were Travis Smith and Nicholas Longley. Points leader Tyler Trombley and Thomas Coates completed the top five.
Build it and they will come in the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders. By the time racing started thirty drivers were ready to make their mark on the Ridge. With new competition making it to the front for the regulars was a bit more challenging. This also afforded some new faces a chance to make it to victory lane. One such face would be Zach Audit who finally was able to make to the front spot and stay their to claim his first win. Ricky Stygles and Kevin LaForest completed the victory lane trio, with Jason Porter and Jeffrey Martin completing the top five.
The Granite State Mini Sprints were in the house for their fifth appearance of the year. In the 500cc’s Tom Chaffee gets the win over Vern Woodard and Carson Williams. Caiden Herbert and Riley Chaffee rounded out the top five. In the 600cc’s Kyle Beliveau grabs the win with Dan Lang taking second and Mark Wiggett crossing in third. Tyler Jones and William Ostertag come home fourth and fifth.
