The Valley Floors. feature winners for September 9th: Jason Gray in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds; Cody Gregoropoulos in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets OFF, High Country Dispensary Late Models Kelly Miller; LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks Andrew Fitzgerald; Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners: Daegan Spinks. Visiting R.E. Hinkley (when at the Ridge) Granite State Mini Sprints 500cc Josh Wright, 600cc Kyle Belliveau.
And it comes down to one night, and a night it will be, with double points on the line for all divisions and then the Dirt track Championships. Even with a few drivers well in front in the points standings, no championship is guaranteed, as double points and points for taking the green on the 23rd means if they want to stay on top or hope the leader tumbles, all drivers will be in defensive mode for the next two weeks.
In the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds Jason Gray once again pads his lead over his contenders with his sixth win of the season giving him a comfortable 84-point lead over second place Max Dolliver in his quest for his fourth championship in a row at the Ridge. Dolliver jumps ahead of Sunn by a mere two points which means the bridesmaid position in the points standing will definitely come down to the wire. Joining Gray in victory lane were pole sitter Mike Ryan who was able to hold on for second and Robert Tucker who came from mid pack in a borrowed machine from Tim Churchill. Max Dolliver and Melvin Pierson rounded out the top five.
Cody Gregoropoulos becomes the only threepeat driver winning his third event for the season in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes. Gregoropoulos looks to fall a bit short on his quest for the championship and will have to wait another day. In the meantime, his feature win puts him in the top five by just two points. Tim Hodge joined Gregoropoulos in victory lane in second breaking the tie for the championship now thirteen points over Ryan Christian who had been on top all season long. Will he be able to regroup and reclaim the spot, only time will tell. Bob Shepard drove the wheels off his machine falling back a bit then worked his way back to third and the final victory lane spot. Tad Kingsbury and Ryan Christian completed the top five.
The Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were off and return to action on September 16th.
In the High-Country Dispensary Late Models Kelly Miller Sr gets to the checkers first beating out Todd Dunham who crossed in second and Matt Lashua who grabbed the final victory lane spot. Lashua will just need to take the green at the next two events to secure his second in a row championship in the High-Country Late Models. Scott Heath and Rob Rugg rounded out the top five.
Andrew Fitzgerald wins event number six of the season in his quest for the championship in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks. A fatal disaster appears to be the only thing that could take away his first crown as he sits on top the heap with a 115-point lead. He will only need to take the green on the next two events to secure his first Bear Ridge Trophy Bear. Tyler Tremblay and Dustin Towle joined Fitzgerald in that order in victory lane. Pat Wheeler and Tim Blake completed the top five.
In the Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners, the stars seem to be falling in line for Spencer Braley as he widens his points lead over second place to twenty-six points. Hard luck for his closest contender going into the night Travis King, and a post-race disqualification of the third-place finisher only helped to pad those much-needed points in his search for his first championship. Victory lane would consist of Daegan Spinks with his first win, Katie Burroughs who falls short once again by one position, and Jason Porter. Spencer crossed the line in fourth but is elevated to third with Logan Martin being scored in fourth. Hayden Bishop takes the points for fifth.
The R.E. Hinkley (when at the Ridge) Granite State Mini Sprints were in the house for their Lenny West memorial over thirty machines were signed in for their two main events with thirty being able to take the green. In the 500cc Josh Wright beats out Rob Williams for the win with Jake MacIntyre taking third. Addison Davis and Ella Gisieson completed the top five. In the 600CC Kyle Belliveau sees the checkers wave first beating out Cody Willette and Jacob Green. Donny Sharp and Justin Burr rounded out the top five.
