Sneak peak sees only the icing of what can be expected opening night May 2, 2015

BRADFORD, VT – The Bear Ridge Speedway 13th annual Upper Valley car show hosted by the West Lebanon Home Depot presented several beautiful 2015 machines ready to take the quarter mile Bear Ridge Speedway.

The parking lot area was packed with machines from every division that hit the Ridge. 2014 DIRTcar Bond Auto Sportsman Modifieds Rookies DJ Robinson and TC Forward were on hand, along with Dirtcar Sportsman Coupes 2014 track champion Jason Colbeth and veteran Buster Kathan. Mike Chaffee 2014 Sportsman of the Year represented the USAC DMA Dirt Midgets. A compliment of additional Sportsman Modifieds, Sportsman Coupes, Limited Late Models, Four Cylinders, Sprint Cars of New England and the Granite State Mini Sprints helped round out the representation. Along with the fast machines of the Ridge several Car Nutz old time beauties were on display as well.

Bear Ridge Speedway’s 48th season of stock car racing opens on Saturday, May 2nd for the ROCK99 Weekly Racing Series sponsored by NAPA Auto Parts F.M.S. LLC Auto Parts of Bradford. The day starts with the Bear Ridge Speedway car show at the Bradford Jiffy Mart on the corners of Rte 5 and 25 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, cars will be judges for best of show in each division. Following the show will be the first time the cars hit the clay for practice from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. The first green flag of the 48th consecutive racing season will be waved at our infamous 6:00pm(ish) start time for the full card which includes the Bond Auto Parts DIRTcar Sportsman Modified, Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Pro Stock Sportsman Coupe, Crazy Ed’s Limited Late Models, USAC DMA Midgets, plus the Weglarz Property Service Four Cylinders divisions.

The Ridge will be saying farewell to our dear friend Penny Davis, who was a staple of the ridge for decades. Taken from us too soon in March of this year, C.V. “Butch” Elms will be taking her for a final ride around the track. Please join us for this joyous occasion, as we help Penny sail on to her next endeavor.

Regular general admission is $10 for adults (age 18-61), $8 for teens (12-17) and seniors (62+), and $2 for children; Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Racing begins at the famous “6:00-ish” start time.
