For Immediate Release BRS-08232025-1
Feature winners of the 58th consecutive season race week Fourteen Murray’s Market, Nursery & Landscape Design Mike Ryan in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Michael Danforth Jr in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; Bryan King in the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modifieds Limited; Chris Murray in the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets; Kelly Miller Sr in the High Country Dispensary Late Models; Mike McClay in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks; Ryan Sayers® in the Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat Ridge Runners, and Brandon Gray in the Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods 4/6 Cylinder Enduro.
With only two regular points night, one double points night and one take the green for points night left, it is still mathematically possible for the top three in points in the Sportsman Modifieds, Sportsman Coupes, Xtreme Midgets, Late Models, Dirt Stock and Ridge Runners, for the Sportsman Modifieds Limited it is down to just two. With this knowledge the racing gets more exciting, and the tempers get hotter, as drivers begin to develop the championship tunnel vision which so often happens late in the season.
In the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds Jason Gray has slowly watched his substantial point lead dwindle with his less than par finishes over the past month. Gray has only scored half as many wins as he had last year and this night he finished outside the top ten, the last time this happened was in May of 2022. Has he lost his edge? Or will the final four events see a renewed fire under his feet propelling him to his 6th consecutive title. Saturday nights at the Ridge is where you need to be to find out. This week it was all Mike Ryan who quickly got to the lead and led the field thirty-five lap green to checkers to the checkers at a blistering speed. The battle of the night would be for second place with Jeremy Huntoon able to keep just enough distance between him and Jeff Huntington to come home in second. Huntington held off Owen Brown and Matt Ellsworth who crossed the line in fourth and fifth. But a post-race inspection failure would see Brown disqualified putting DJ Robinson in fifth.
In the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes it’s not a matter of getting your mojo back its about holding on and staying strong. Weekly the points lead has changed in this division with only twenty-three points separating third from first. This week Michael Danforth Jr was able to take full advantage of Cody Gregoropoulos’s mulligan night who was sitting in second place last week just six points behind Cooper Hodge. Hodge would struggle as well only cracking into the top ten when the checkers waved. The twenty plus points Danforth gained with the win puts him on top for a week twelve points over Cooper Hodge, with Terry Williams taking over third. Joining Danforth in victor lane was Earl Maxham in second and Ali Pushee in third. Jason Horniak and Terry Williams completed the top five.
Bryan King finds himself just two points behind Travis Shinn in the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modifieds Limited. King needs to finish ahead of Shinn to close the gap and that is just what he did, beating Shinn to the checkers for his second win of the season. Shinn held on for second with Shawn King coming home in third. Michael Danforth and Dustin Towle rounded out the top five.
In the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets Will Hull is waiting for Chris Murray to have that one bad night, but as of yet Murray is on a roll grabbing his third win of the season and sits twenty-seven points over Hull. Wayne Koehler feels like he came home the winner as he had his best finish ever coming home in second. Hull would join the pair taking home third. Brandon Piastka and Jorn Forlano completed the top five.
Kelly Miller Sr is gearing up to win his second in a row championship in the High-Country Dispensaries Late Models as he brings home win number three on the season. Todd Dunham crossed the line in second with Ryan Christian taking home third. Chad McAlpine and Millers closest contender twenty-four points behind him comes home in fifth, still looking for his first feature win.
For the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks it definitely won’t be over till it’s over as there are only eleven points separating third from first. Two of those top three made it to victory lane with Mike McClay grabbing the win and closing the gap on Tyler Fellows who came home in third. Travis King, your current rookie leader split the two taking home second. Keith Mansur and John Fields completed the top five.
Kevin LaForest’s misfortune became Zach Audet’s fortune in the Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat Ridge Runners as he broke the point tie finishing in second to Ryan Sayers who took home the win. An incident in turn two took LaForest out of contention as he went off the track on the hook. The battle back to the top is not unsurmountable and you can expect to see a tough battle between the two for the next four weeks. Riley Chaffee takes his first podium finish in the division coming home in third with Nathen Sargent and Katie Burroughs round out the top five.
The Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods 4/6 Cylinder Enduro series was back in the house with thirty-six drivers looking to survive the event and bring home the checkers. At the end of seventy-five green laps only five of the thirty-six would be on the lead lap. Brandon Gray worked his way through the traffic to the front to take home the win beating Shane LaBraney and Chris Mooney. Daniel LaBraney and Gage Dillingham crossed fourth and fifth, but a post-race inspection would disqualify Daniel LaBraney moving Nick Potwin up to fifth. The Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods 4/6 Cylinder Enduro series will be in action two more times this season, both points events, the first on September 20th and then again on Sunday October 12 for Sunday-Funday.
