Feature winners of the 58th consecutive season race week Fourteen Sabil & Sons Inc. Melvin Pierson in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Alexis Pushee in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; Michael Danforth in the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modifieds Limited; Brandon Piastka in the Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets; Ryan Christian in the High Country Dispensary Late Models; Jon Porter® in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks; Zach Audet in the Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat Ridge Runners, and Nick Kruger in the Sprint Cars of New England.
There are now twelve eligible drivers for the end of year growler and only three points separating fourth from second in the Sabil & Sons Inc. DIRTcar Sportsman. Melvin Pierson is the latest driver to get his ticket punched as he gets his first win of the season. Max Dolliver was truly the man on the move as he worked his way from the back of the pack on the outside to the front. A forty-lap event may have seen a different outcome, as he and Pierson were side by side when the checkers waved, with Pierson having a slight advantage to hold on for the win. Aston Pierson, great nephew to Melvin, joined the pair in victory lane with Aiden Hervey, stepbrother of Ashton, and Todd Buckwold rounding out the top five.
A front row starting position and backed up traffic behind you, can set you up for your first win, which is just what happened in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes. Alexis Pushee, in her second year of racing in the Coupes is scored your winner with gentleman Jason Horniak coming home in second, AJ Pushee the other youngster in the division takes home third. Cooper Hodge, with his fourth-place finish is back on top of the leader board by six points over Cody Gregoropoulos and Rookie Logan Martin had his best finish of the season completing the top five.
Michael Danforth wins his fourth feature of the year in the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modifieds Limited beating out Bryan King and Travis Shinn who cross in that order for the trip to victory lane. Shawn King and Keegan Tabor rounded out the top five.
The Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were off and will return to action August 23rd.
The High-Country Dispensaries Late Models were off and will return to action August 23rd.
Let the nah sayers be damned when it comes to the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks level of competition. With ten different winners so far this year and seven of them in the top ten, what gets you to the front is homework and perseverance. Rookie Jon Porter hailing from Connecticut each week is your tenth driver to win a race beating out Matt Pike and John fields the two lucky enough to join him in victory lane. Tyler Fellows and Keith Mansur completed the top five.
It continues to look like it will be the battle of the century to determine the champion in the Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat of Woodsville Ridge Runners. With Kevin LaForest and Zach Audet swapping the feature win weekly the place for them to get the advantage may well be in the heat races. This week Audet held off LaForest who came inches short of beating him across the line. Ryan Sayers joined the two in victory lane in third. Nathen Sargent and Tim Davis rounded out the top five.
The visiting Sprint Cars of New England put on a great show for the fans for their twenty-five-lap main event. Only one caution would slow the pace to bunch the field back up and take away Nick Kruger’s lead, but he would be able to hold off the pack to go on and score the win. Caiden Herbert crossed in second with Troy Comeau taking home third. Matt Tanner was just getting the out outside to work but ran out of time to make it to victory lane crossing in forth with Matt Hoyt completing the top five. SCoNE will be back in action on August 30th to make up their event lost in May.
Coming up this Saturday, August 23rd sponsored by Murray’s Market, Nursery, & Landscape Design will be a full card of racing for the 95.3 107.1 The Wolf weekly racing series. Divisions on hand will be the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Wells River Chevrolet-part of the Auto Saver Group DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes, Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modifieds Limited, Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets, High Country Dispensary Late Models, LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks, and Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat of Woodsville Ridge Runners. Plus, the Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods 4/6 Cylinder Enduro series.
This is a special admission event (front gate) ticket for adults is $15.00, seniors $13.00, teens $13.00 and children 11 and under $2.00. Teens and children must be with a paying adult. Military Discounts are available at $5.00 off for those with a valid ID.
The back gate (pit gate) ticket price for Bear Ridge Speedway and DIRTcar 2025 license holders is $30.00. Non-license holders are $35.00 (both prices include the front gate ticket.)
Bear Ridge Speedway is an alcohol-free family friendly entertainment spot, with our goal to make each experience at the Ridge better than the last.
