With less than two weeks till opening day at Bear Ridge Speedway, May 4th the 57th consecutive season opening day everyone is anxious to see the dirt fly and get their first order of gravy fries!
The day-long activities start at the Bradford Fair Grounds Bradford VT with the official car show from 10:00 to noon. There you can get your first glimpse of the cars and stars of 2024. The great folks from the fair will have food and beverages for sale to tide you over till your first order of the season of the best gravy fries in New England!
From there the drivers will make their way up the hill to get their first chance on the mighty Clay Oval in 2024 with a practice session from 2:00 to 4:00 for the car show attendees only.
After that it is the kickoff and first green flag of the Ridge’s 57th consecutive season of racing all with an Elms on site. The full card 99 ROCK weekly racing series of DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds, DIRTcar Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupes, Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets, High Country Dispensary Late Models, LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks, and the Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners will be coming to their respective first green flags of the season, all sponsored by NAPA of Bradford FMS Auto Parts. The racing action is set to start at 5:00pm a bit earlier than our famous 6:00pm ish start time, based on track conditions.
Opening night general admission (front gate) ticket for adults &seniors is $15.00, Teens with paying adult is $15.00, and children 11 and under with a paying adult is $2.00. Teens and children MUST be accompanied by a paying adult. Bear Ridge Speedway is more than proud to extend a Military Discount to our active-duty members at $5.00 off for those with a valid ID. The back gate (pit gate) ticket price for Bear Ridge Speedway and DIRTcar 2024 license holders is $30.00. Non-license holders are $35.00 (both prices include the front gate ticket.)
Don’t forget you will be able to hear all the highlights from the week before with April May and Butch and what is coming up every Friday morning from 6:30 to 7:00 on WYKR starting Friday April 26th.
Bear Ridge Speedway is an alcohol-free family friendly entertainment spot, with our goal to make each experience at the Ridge better than the last. We continue to offer the best source of good inexpensive high-quality entertainment for families. Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Racing begins at the famous “6:00-ish” start time starting Saturday May 4th.
