Just getting back from Indy from the PRI Show and it was good to see some friends from the motorsports industry who I only see a few times a year and catch up. Well many things are in the works for 2022 to make it another successful season. Thank you all for the great comments and glad you enjoyed the banquet. The banquet at Hart's Turkey Farm went well and it seemed everyone was happy to see the changes in the series and what some little sponsorships can do for our SCoNE series. The 2021 series champion team of owner Mike Bosco and driver Clay Dow seemed to really enjoy getting some championship money, along some cool trophies. Without the help of JRC Transportation these type of things don't get done. All the drivers and teams that supported SCoNE during the 2021 season got some type of cash awards and or product awards. With our great product sponsors such as Pro Shocks, Maxim Chassis , Slade Shock Technologies, DMI . SCoNE was able to give away over $8000 in cash awards and another $2500 in product awards. This may not seem like a lot to racers in other series but remember we are growing and in the past we just gave out trophies. We even gave something to Rick Stone who always has his hand out. We love Rick and can't thank him enough for the support he gives SCoNE. We also were again during 2021 able to give away some heat race awards from our partners at FK Rod Ends and O'Reilly Auto Parts. With new companies like Trailer Alarms , HPM Insurance , Joe's Racing Products, E.D.Swett Inc, High Performance Lubricants, Venture Wipes, FloRacing, taking a chance with SCoNE to support something they never heard of was great for us to expand in the community and beyond. Dawley Collision helped us huge in 2021 with so many things to provide the marketing side of it all. We did a series 2021 program for the fans . Thanks to all the great businesses that bought ads in that , Thanks to Steve Durrand for his help too. The race fans seemed to like the book and hopefully we will do it again in 2022. Can't forget the printer of said book and more , Josh Burkett . It was a local high school print shop Griswold High School in Griswold , CT. All in all it was a good event and the teams seemed eager to get 2022 started with building race cars during the winter. Congratulations to all the drivers and teams .
As some of you may know there will be a new promotor and general manager at RumTown Speedway. More news on that will be coming soon when it becomes official, You can listen to rumors but don't believe them until you hear something official.
I would like to THANK Justin St.Louis for all his help in the past at Devil's Bowl Speedway. Justin is moving on from his position at the track to pursue another career . Good Luck to him , I am sure he will show up at a SCoNE race somewhere to see his racing friends.
PRI Show notes : I attended some marketing type seminars , dirt track round table discussion, race track / race series seminars along with reaching out to some new businesses to work with SCoNE in 2022 . And was able to THANK our partners in person for being part of our series.
Schedule : There is a draft schedule right now but it is still a work in progress and not ready to release any details on this yet. Again since I don't deal with rumors I don't post anything until it is fact. Sorry for all you keyboard warriors who like that type of stuff. In my opinion it just hurts the sport we all love
So just like most of my posting here on the website SCoNE is always looking for partners to promote with our series and give back to the racers like we have proven in 2021. The like buttons and such are what brings traffic numbers up which in return is what potential sponsors and partners look at first these days. But of course we still like the old school way of just a great business asking what we need .
If you know any people looking for internships in motorsports let us know, that is something we are looking into to get some good help and hopefully start them out in a career in the industry.
