ARE YOU READY TO RUMBBBBBLLLLLEEEEEE???
The Dirt will fly at the famed Bear Ridge Speedway Saturday June 20th!!!
With some restrictions in place

For Immediate Release BRS-061420-1

Saturday June 20th will see some of the best cars and stars in New England taking the first green flag of the COVID-19 season. Restrictions continue to be eased and with it comes the ability to have racing at the Ridge once again. Unfortunately, we can have NO general admission grandstands at this time. As we continue thru the summer, we are anticipating more easements, and eventual opportunity to have you all back at the track. With no general admission grandstands no one under the age of 10 will be allowed on the property. If you are unable to attend you can watch your driver’s progress on RACE Monitor. Saturday June 20th will be sponsored by one of our many long-time sponsors Wells River Savings Bank. During these difficult times we cannot thank all of our sponsors enough for their continued support. Without them and all of you we would not be able to make racing happen.
Drivers in all our 99Rock weekly racing series divisions are eager to get that first checkers of the season under their belt on their way to a coveted Bear Ridge Speedway Track Championship. This will be a points race for the DIRTcar Sabil and Sons Sportsman Modifieds, DIRTcar Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupes, C.A. Miller Limited Late Models, Dirt Stockers, and the Peanuts Auto LLC Fast Fours. Knowing that a lot of these drivers have not had a chance to participate in the closed COVID-19 practices, they can surely use some extra support. Pit entry fee is $30.00 for 2020 Registered members, and $35.00 for non-members.
We are in hopes that we will be able to continue ramping up our efforts and have fans in the general grandstands soon, as we continue to work within the Vermont State Guidelines, Bear Ridge Speedway’s number one goal to make sure that we do everything in our power to keep all our competitors, crews, staff and fans safe.
For now we will be following designated State guidelines, enforcing social distancing, face coverings will be required at all times, and all people entering the property will be required to be temperature checked before they can be signed in. Pit entry fee is $30.00 for 2020 Registered members, and $35.00 for non-members. No one under the age of 10 will be allowed on the property.
We will be working under the “arrive, play and leave” mentality. Groups may not gather before or after activities (no tailgating, etc.). Gates to the facility/pits will open at 4:00pm gates will be closed to the facility/pits at 7:00 pm. No entry will be allowed after that time. You will be required to sign in and enter the pits immediately upon arrival, there will be no “tailgating” before the events. Racing will kick into gear at 6:00 pm(ish), based on track conditions. Once the events have concluded for the evening everyone will be required to leave the facility, there will be no “tailgating” after the events. Once you enter the pits you will not be able to leave, (there will be no reentry), if you leave the pits you will be required to leave the property immediately.
We are just as anxious as everyone is to get things back to our “new norm” until then we continue to work diligently within the Vermont State guidelines, to ensure that we are doing everything in our power to keep everyone safe, and sincerely appreciate all of you understanding. We also want to thank those drivers and crews who were able to take advantage of our closed practices. Your efforts to work within the guidelines established are what are allowing us to get to the next step, RACIN!! As we progress, we will keep you updated of any changes. Racing will kick into gear at 6:00 pm(ish), based on track conditions.
April May and Butch are now on air with Stephen John for all the updates happening at the Ridge every Friday morning from 6:30 to 7:00 on WYKR.
Bear Ridge Speedway is as an alcohol-free family friendly entertainment spot, with our goal to make each experience at the Ridge better than the last. We continue to offer the best source of good inexpensive high-quality entertainment for families.
Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Racing begins at the famous “6:00-ish” start time every Saturday starting in May thru September. The price to get into the pit gates is $30.00 for license holders/members for non-members is $35.00.
Bear Ridge Speedway is located on Kidder Road in Bradford, VT, just off Exit 16 on Interstate 91. For more information, call (802) 222-4052 or visit www.bearridgespeedway.com. Questions can be sent to brsdirt@charter.net Visa and Master card accepted
