Stephen Lary gets his first win and Jordan Fornwalt crowned the champ in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds

Lots of racing and double points proved the saying true, “it’s not over till it’s over” in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds and the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes in the points battle for these two divisions. The way it started is the way it ended in the points battle for the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models and the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders. Three drivers earned their right into the Modified Growler with each feature seeing a new driver taking the checkers and a last chance qualifier for the non winners of the season allowing more driver to be qualified.
Rained out events were what were on tap for the night. The first round of features were for rained out sponsor Dennis Preston Builder the second round of features were for rained out sponsor Sabil & Sons.

In the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds Stephen Lary led all but the last two laps when mechanical failure took him out of the race. This gave Todd Buckwold the win over Richie Simmons and Walter Hammond. Jordan Fornwalt and Jason Gray rounded out the top five. Kevin Chaffee the points leader going into the night lost power steering finishing in 18th place a long way behind Fornwalt who was sitting in second. In the second feature Lary was once again the one on point and this time he was able to survive a couple of cautions and a very hungry Chaffee to get his first career win. Chaffee crossed the line in second with Jesse Durkee in third. Robert Tucker and Steven Flint completed the top five. Steven Flint grabbed the win in the last chance qualifier. When the dust settled on the points Kevin Chaffee realized that his marginal point lead over Fornwalt was not enough to survive a bad night. Giving Fornwalt his first ever Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modified Championship.

As it was for the Mods it was for the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes for the points battle. Tanner Siemons grabbed the win in round one with Tadd Kingsbury and Melvin Pierson in second and third. Jeremy Hodge and Robert Kilburn rounded out the top five. Brian Chaffee the points leader going into the night had a bad finish crossing the line in eight. Round two it was Todd Hayward getting the win over Josh Harrington and Jason Horniac. Melvin Pierson and Tadd Kingsbury finished out the top five. Chaffee struggled once again with is nineth place finish. His mulligan came too late in the season and was just what Melvin Pierson needed, with his two top five finishes giving him enough points to take over the lead.

The USAC DMA Midgets were off and will return on FRIDAY September 20th.

Round one in the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models went to Ryan Christian for the win with Tyler Trombley and Tyler Maxham crossing first and second. George Osgood and Travis Smith finished out the top five. Round two went to George Osgood with Christian in second and John Neddo in third. Travis Smith and Brian Bigue rounded out the top five. Tyler Trembley was able to hold on to the points lead and earn the championship.

Jason Porter had just enough of a lead in the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders points and was able to record two strong finishes to hold on to his points lead. In the first round Zach Audet scores the win with Rick Styles and Kevin LaForest second and third. Jason Porter and Buddy Welch completed the top five. Round two Welch gets the win over Stygles. With Westley Blake and Jason Porter rounding out the top five.

Tommy Keith grabs another win in the Twin State Dirt Stocks over Lucas Wheeler and Matt Piper. The Nelsons Dylan and Keith round out the top five.

In the Granite State Mini Sprints 500cc Tom Chaffee scores the win over Eric Relation and Cody Willette. Matt Calley and Donny Sharp completed the top five. In 600cc Dan Lang comes out on top over Joe Kemp and Tony Shaw. Tyler Ostertag and Keith Brown rounded out the top five.
