R&R Property Maintenance night wins go to Jordan Fornwalt in the Sportsman Modifieds, Will Hull in the USAC Dirt Midgets and Brain Chaffee in the Spor
It was a fast paced evening at Bear Ridge Speedway that concluded with a spectacular Fireworks show to celebrate the 4th of July. It was Madness night for the Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds with over$11,000 on the line for the evening with Jordan Fornwalt the overall winner. Parity is the theme in the Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupes as Brian Chaffee took the win, making it nine different winners in nine weeks. Will Hull continues to thrill and rim rode to victory in the USAC Dirt Midgets and Ryan Christian took a hard fought Late Model victory. The Peanuts Auto 4-Cylinder event was postponed due to rain and will be made up as the first event of the night on July 6th.
It was the annual Madness night for the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds. The amount of laps sold resulted in four Thirty Lap segments and well over $11,000 on the line. Although he did not come home victorious in any of the four 30-lap segments Jordan Fornwalt was the overall winner on the night with a total of 15 points, resulting from three 3rd place finishes and a 6th. Current points leader Kevin Chaffee was second overall with 21 points and won the last segment. Third overall was Todd Buckwold with 22 points. Robert Tucker and Ryan Christian completed the overall top five
The Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes continue to see parity as the normal with Brian Chaffee authoring a dominating performance in the feature to take the win. With the win Chaffee became the ninth different winner in as many weeks. Josh Harrington and Tanner Siemons had an entertaining race long duel for second with Tanner Siemons claiming the spot at the checkers with Josh Harrington third. Bob Kilburn and Melvin Pierson rounded out the top five.
The USAC DMA Midget Feature saw Manny Dias take the lead early while Will Hull was rim riding to the front from the fourteenth starting spot. On lap fifteen Hull make a move to blast from fourth to first and then continued to pull away from the rest of the field to take the win. Jeff Champagne had a season best run to claim second with Joe Krawiec third, Mike Chaffee fourth and Manny Dias fifth.
Tyler Tremblay and Ryan Christian put on a show in the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models. Tremblay took the lead with three laps complete and just a lap later Christian moved to second. This set up a prolonged battle for the front spot with the duo swapping the lead a few times officially and many more unofficially before Christian finally cleared Tremblay and motored to the Victory. Tremblay finished a career best second with Nicholas Longley third. Thomas Coates and Devin Stearns completed the top five.
Bear Ridge Speedway’s 52nd season of dirt car racing continues Saturday, July 6, 2019 sponsored by Dennis Preston Builder with David’s House Benefit night, featuring a full card of racing for the 99Rock weekly racing series, with the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes, C.A. Miller Inc Limited Late Models, and the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders with their madness night. Plus the WYKER Sprint Cars of New England. USAC DMA Midgets will return to action July 13th.
Special admission pricing for the 99Rock Weekly Racing Series is $13 for adults (age 18-61), $10 teens (12-17) and seniors (62+), and $2 for children; Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Racing begins at the famous “6:00-ish” start time.
