Eric Lindbled in the Mike Estrada State Farm 4/6 Cylinder Enduro remaining events postponed till 6/1 due to rain
Everyone knows that Promoter C.V. Elms will do everything in his power to get the show in. With a chance of rain coming later in the evening, there was really no choice but to try to get the show in. All divisions were able to get their qualifying heat races in. The Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders scored their event for the evening, as well as the Mike Estrada State Farm 4/6 Cylinder Enduro. The Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes got to lap thirteen before they were benched for the night.
The DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds will run their makeup race for R&M Automotive before the regular scheduled event on June 1st. Michael Dunn and Mike Ryan will bring the field to the green for this which will be the first of two events for the evening.
The Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes made it to lap thirteen before being slowed by mother nature. It looked for a moment that they were going to be able to continue but alas she won out parking the field for the night. The Coupes will be the first to hit the track for the remaining seventeen laps of their thirty-lap main. Tanner Siemons will be bringing the field down to the green in the Delaware position with Cody Copland and Jeremy Hodge following.
The USAC DMA Midgets were off and will be returning to action next week June 1st.
The C.A. Miller Limited Late Models will run their makeup race for R&M Automotive before the regular scheduled event on June 1st. Tyler Trombley and Nicholas Longley will set the pace for the event
The Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders DID get their event in, being first on the grid. Knowing the weather was coming they wasted no time in recording their twenty-lap main event. Garrett Brown took the lead away from Dustin Towle on lap three, and looked poised to be heading to the checkers first for his first win of his career. Unfortunately, last year’s champion Jason Porter was having nothing of it, and after slowly working his way thru traffic to the front of the pack was able to get to the front and take the lead from Brown on lap seventeen. Porter held on to the point for the remaining four laps to take the win with Brown holding on for second and Kevin LaForest coming home in third. Buddy Welch and Robert Audet rounded out the top five.
The BRS WYKR Sprint Cars of New England will run their makeup race on June 8th. Mekkelsen RV night before running their regular scheduled event.
A little rain didn’t stop the State Farm Mike Estrada 4/6 Cylinder Enduro. With a strong field taking the green on a slick track, it was entertaining to watch as they diced it out for their fifty lap event. The race was run in less than fifteen minutes with nothing slowing the pace as they went green to checkers. Eric Lindbled came home first with Jon LaForest taking home second and Chris Mooney in third. Taylor Sayers and Jason Porter completed the top five.
