The Dead River night saw plenty of racing excitement with edge of your seat racing in the regular 99ROCK racing series divisions August 26, 2017.

It looked like Stephen Lary was set to get his first win in in the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds. Dominating most of the event and no cautions coming until late, it didn’t look like anyone would be able to set a challenge on him. Several back to back cautions late gave Adam Pierson the break he needed, and he was able to get by Lary on a restart to move on for the win. Lary would be passed by Mike Ryan with one to go and saw himself holding on to third. Robert Tucker and Wayne Stearns completed the top. A post-race inspection found Ryan underweight moving everyone behind him up one position.

Chris LaForest makes it back to the top in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes for his second win of the season joining the elite group of drivers having the fortune of winning more than one event this season. Melvin Pierson finally gets the monkey off his back, having started strong and struggled thru the mid-season as he comes home in second. Brian Chaffee takes home third. Tanner Siemons and Josh Harrington rounded out the top five.

The Laquerre’s Sports USAC DMA Midgets offered some great racing for the fans as Dean Christensen worked his way to the front bringing Seth Carlson along for the ride. When the checkers waved Christian grabbed his third win of the season with Carlson taking second. His team mate Derek O’Hearn joined them in third in victory lane. Joe Krawiec and Jeff Horn completed the top five.

In the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models Ryan Christian takes the win with Wayland Childs and John Neddo joining him in victory lane. Kelly Miller and Don Reynolds rounded out the top five.

Jason Porter beats out Steve Bell and Buddy Welch for the win in the Weglarz Property Service Four Cylinders. Matt Boucher and Jesse Durkee completed the top five.

The Granite State Mini Sprints were in the house with the 500 and 600 cc classes. Owen Carbee gets the win in the 500cc’s with Kyle Pitman and Tom Chaffee coming home in second and third. Brian Lakin and Eric Relation completed the top five. Kyle Belliveau takes home the checkers in the 600cc with Tyler Jones and Kevin Heath joining him in victory lane. Bradley Osgood and Kyle Pittman completed the top five.
