6-IN-A-ROW FOR DMA LEADER PIERSON!

Adam Pierson of Bradford, Vt. became only the third USAC driver ever to record a sixth consecutive USAC Midget Series victory Saturday night, winning the USAC DMA Midget main event at Bear Ridge Speedway. Billy Boat set the standard with 11 straight Western States wins in 1995 and Michael Lang won six straight Indianapolis Speedrome wins in 1996. Only three other USAC drivers ever scored six or more straight in a single series – A.J. Foyt (7 - 1964 National Championship), Billy Vukovich III (7 – 1987 Supermodified) and Larry Dickson (6 – 1968 National Sprint). Pierson took the lead from Ray Miller on lap 11 Saturday and led the final 10 laps to beat Josh Sunn, Adam Whitney, Robert tucker and Dean Christensen.
