Thomas Placey gets his first win in the DIRTcar Wells River Chevy Sportsman Coupes
Josh Sunn survives wild ride in the USAC DMA Laquerre’s Sports Midgets

BRADFORD, VT – Our gratitude and hats off to all the efforts of all involved with safely getting Josh Sunn out of his USAC DMA Midget and ready for air transport after a wild ride out of the track. The safety and track crews at the Ridge are by far the best around. At the time of this press Josh is staying an extra night in the hospital for observation. And reports are that he will be A-Okay!
It was an old familiar site in the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds as the fans watched Adam Pierson and a former track champ in the Sportsman Mods Chris Donnelly work their way from the back of the pack to the front. Taking over the first two spots Pierson would be able to hold off Donnelly for the win. Mike Dunn was able to hold on to third for his second in as many weeks visit to victory lane. Josh Currier and DJ Robinson rounded out the top five.
The feature winner count just keeps growing in the DIRTcar Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupes. This week it looked like Josh Harrington was finally going to be to grab he second win of the season leading the second half of the feature dominantly. Unfortunately for Harrington Thomas Placey has been looking for his first win and with just three laps to go, a slight bobble on Harrington’s part gave Placey the opportunity he was looking for. Placey stole the lead from Harrington to go on for his first win of the season. Becoming the twelfth winner of the year. Harrington held on for second with Jason Horniak in third. Earl Maxham and Buster Kathan completed the top five.
As stated above in the Laquerre Sports USAC DMA Midgets Josh Sunn went for a wild ride out of the track in his heat race after wheel hopping a competitor. The heat race was red flagged and Sunn was airlifted to the local hospital for precautionary observations. Sunn is being reported as A-Okay very sore, but should hopefully be going home on Monday. When feature time came it was again all about his team mate Adam Pierson who continues to be unstoppable in the Manafort machine. Pierson coming from the back of the pack took the lead on lap five and dusted the field. Robert Tucker finished behind him in second with Dean Christensen taking third. Seth Carlson and Jeff Champagne finished the top five.
Wayland Childs gets his second win in the Mike Rivers Automotive Limited Late Models beating out Tim Martin and Derrick Stearns. John Neddo had a strong finish coming home in fourth and John Fields came home in fifth.
Danny Doyle and Jesse Durkee are battling it out for who can get the most wins in the Weglarz Property Service Four Cylinders. Going into tonight it was a tie between the two, and at the end of the night Danny Doyle was the one to break the tie coming home for his fifth win the season. Durkee would advance no higher than eighth. Joining Doyle in victory lane was Jim Durkee and Mike Ryan. Robert Welch and Sean Perron completed the top five.
