Bear Ridge Speedway "the fastest dirt track in Vermont" is proud to announce the signing of Sabil & Sons as part of the 2016 “99ROCK wfrd” weekly racing series sponsoring the DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds. Sabil & Sons has had a long relationship with the Ridge, first as the Old Timers race night sponsor, Lap counter sponsor and now as a premier division sponsor. “Bear Ridge Speedway has a great racing program going and we are very pleased that we are able to sign on as one of the premier division sponsors. This added to our long standing involvement as race night and lap counter sponsor is the icing on the cake, and we look forward to a long relationship with Butch & April May at the Ridge”, said Bill Josler.
Sabil & Sons join Wells River Chevrolet who returns as the sponsor of the other premier division the DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes. These two divisions will once again be sanctioned by DIRTcar and are setting up to offer some great racing action for the fans.
Not only will there be new faces, as well as last year's contenders on hand, there will also be the return of some "seasoned" veterans, who will once again be seen doing battle in this division. The Coupes have always called Bear Ridge Speedway their home, and this year will be no exception. Will their numbers exceed 20 on a weekly basis as they have in the Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds? Mark your calendars for every Saturday night starting May 7th to find out for yourself!
The Ridge is also pleased to announce another new division sponsorship in 2016. Mike Rivers Automotive has signed on as the Limited Late Model division sponsor. Rivers a long time runner in the Late Models is excited to be working with us in 2016 and we are very happy to have him joining our winning team.
Laquerre’s Sports will be returning as the USAC DMA Midgets division sponsor, as well as Weglarz Property Service sponsoring the Four Cylinders.
Everyone is anxious to see the 2016 season kick into gear, which will begin this year with the 15th annual Upper Valley car show on April 30th located once again at the Home Depot in W Lebanon from 10:00 to 1:00. Weather permitting the track will be open for a practice session exclusively for the cars in attendance for the complete show. The annual car show at the Jiffy Mart ~ Bradford Mini Mart on Saturday May 7th will be followed by a free general admission practice session in the afternoon. The 99ROCK wfrd weekly racing season will then see weekly competition in all five divisions starting that same night May 7th. Racing will kick into gear at 6:00 pm(ish), based on track conditions. You will be able to hear all the highlights from the week before and what is coming up every Friday morning from 6:30 to 7:00 on WYKR.
Season passes are available for general admission. Adults is $180.00, seniors and teens $150.00. 2016 membership and car owner applications are now available on line or by calling 603/222-4052.
