It finally happened the stars aligned perfectly for Todd Hayward who after being scored with a ‘Did not Start’ last week due to mechanical problems would have the perfect handicap to see himself as a contender for the first triple crown of the year. With the Sting Vintage Race Cars Semi/Dash scheduled for the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Coupes all’s one had to do was win their heat race win the semi/dash and then come back and win their main event. Hayward won his heat, won the dash and cash and beat out the wiley veteran Bob Shepard for the win. Matt Ellsworth joined the pair in victory lane with Josh Harrington and Ryan Christian completed the top five.
The Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets were OFF and return to action on July 22nd.
Another new winner graces victory lane as Rob French after a tough go of it last week and beats out Matt Lashua for the win with Kelly Miller taking home third. Rob Rugg and Dana Carter rounded out the top five.
It was MADNESS night for the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks with over $8,000.00 on the line. John Fields bringing in the most laps led the field to green for the first of three 27 lap segments. Brian King would get the lead of the segment on lap four and go on to win. Andrew Fitzgerald crosses in second with Fields holding on for third. Garrett Brown and Aren Keene rounded out the top five. Segment two goes to Tyler Tremblay as he gets by Mike Mann on lap twelve to score the win. Mann holds on to second with Bryan King in third. John Fields and Timothy Blake rounded out the top five. The final segment goes to Andrew Fitgerald who took the lead on lap five, beating out Garrett Brown and Aren Keene. Mike McClay and Bryan King rounded out the top five.
The combined overall finish has Bryan King your victor with Andrew Fitzgerald in second and Garrett Brown in third. John Fields and Aren Keene rounded out top five.
Jason Porter was back in town and quickly reminded everyone in the Woodsville Power Equipment Ridge Runners that he stills knows how to get around the Ridge as he comes from the back of the pack to take the checkers over Tom Brown and Spencer Braley in third. Travis King and Travis Burroughs rounded out the top five.
