For Immediate Release BRS-0062516-1

BRADFORD, VT – With a full moon in the sky one man’s misfortune becomes another’s fortune in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, while last year’s champ in the Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupes continues to struggle, seemingly unable to get that proverbial monkey off his back. Seems if it weren’t for bad luck several drivers had no luck at all on Jiffy Mart of Bradford night at the Ridge.
Adam Pierson worked his way from the sixteenth starting spot in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds to take his fifth win of the season. Hitching a ride along the way was Jordan Fornwalt who worked his way up the brides may position. A red flag for Ryan Christian late in the race brought the field back together for a great finish as the laps ticked down. Christian was later pronounced a-okay. When racing resumed Pierson cruised on for the win with Fornwalt in second and Tim Hodge in taking third. DJ Robinson coming back from a mechanical problem last week came home in fourth with Kevin Chaffee taking home fifth.
The Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupes were one caution too many for Bob Shepard to grab the extra loot as he finally got the monkey off his back, coming from the second row on the grid to grab the win. The extra money from the Brass Ring Challenge will continue to grow. If and when the Coupes finally go green to checkers the lucky winner will be taking home some extra spending money with the pot now up to $450.00. Shepard could care less about the money as the win was what he has been hungry for seven weeks now. Joining him in victory lane were Thomas Placey and rookie Stan Otterman who started in third and held on for his best finish yet maintaining third. Mitchell Frost and Brian Chaffee completed the top five.
The Laquerre Sports USAC DMA Midgets were off this week .They will return for racing action on July 2nd.
In the Mike Rivers Automotive Limited Late Models Tim Martin once again had a dominating lead over the field to take home his sixth win of the season. Wayland Childs grabbed second with Derrick Stearns taking third. Don Reynolds and TJ Morse rounded out the top five.
It didn’t take Danny Doyle in the Wayland Childs’ Weglarz Property Service Four Cylinder long to remember how to make his way around the track. Doyle took home the checkers the Mike Ryan coming home in second and Bobby Bell in third. Robert Welch came back from a disappointing finish last week to take fourth with Jesse Durkee grabbing fifth.
The Granite State Mini Sprints were on hand and Bob Griffin grabbed the win the 500cc mini sprints with Kyle Beliveau in second and Kyle Pittman in third.
In the 600cc it was John Scarborough for the win with Kyle Beliveau in second and John Mills in third.
