Weather wins taking out Valley Floors night at the Ridge

Weather wins taking out Valley Floors night at the Ridge

For Immediate Release                                                                                                                                              BRS-082920-1

With standing water on the track and in the infield, and more rain predicted at just about post time, the decision was reluctantly made to pull the plug on Valley Floor night at the Ridge.  , Canceling is always a tough decision to make and with only five weeks left now in the regular season it is even tougher, as we strive ourselves on being here for the drivers and the fans.

Racing will resume next Saturday September 5th for our “Bully’s Suck” awareness night sponsored by Staunch Security. The 99 Rock weekly racing regular divisions including the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds; Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; USAC DMA Midgets ; C.A. Miller Limited Late Models; LaValley’s Building Supply Dirt Stockers; and the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders with their Madness night.

The Mike Estrada State Farm 4 Cylinder Enduro will be returning for action on Saturday September 26th.

With only five weeks left there is still plenty of time to determine for sure who will crowned the king. Right now Jason Gray has a pretty good lead over the second place driver in the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds as he holds the point with 97 points over Jordan Fornwalt. While that may seem like a lot a double points night and one bad night could change everything. Matt Lashua, James Fadden, and Richie Simmons are your current top five.

In the DIRTcar Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupes it is shaping up to be another “it ain’t over till it’s over” to determine your champion, with Josh Harrington currently sitting on top with just a mere six points over Tad Kingsbury, Jason Horniak, Melvin Pierson, and Thomas Placey are your top five.

Seth Carlson is your point leader in the USAC DMA Midgets with a fairly good lead over Justin Phillips with 63 points. Rookie Brandon Piastka is sitting in third with Manny Dias and Will Hull four and fifth.

In the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models George Osgood is on top with Tyler Tremblay and John Neddo your top three. The newly formed LaValley’s Building Supply Dirt Stocks show Troy Prentice on top over Lucas Wheeler and Phil Hayes.

Buddy Welch looks poised to be crowned the track champion once again in the Peanut’s Auto Four Cylinders. He currently holds a 62 point lead over Jason Porter with Kevin LaForest close behind 66 points out. Welch will need to tend to his knitting, as these guys have TWO Double Points nights left to record, meaning that lead could go away in a blink of an eye. Bobby Bell and Garrett Brown sit fourth and fifth.

We continue to work with limited fans in the stands with designating seating. As per the designated VT state guidelines, we can and will continue to enforce social distancing and face coverings at all times. All people entering the property will be required to wear face coverings at all times, (if you cannot wear a mask stay home) and to be temperature checked. If you have a favorite section, you  must reserve your tickets by emailing brsdirt@charter.net by Thursday September 3rd. Any requests received after that cannot be filled, but tickets are available at the gate. We want to again thank everyone for their continued cooperation, we continue to work to improve our process and procedures, and from what we are hearing most fans are very happy to be back at the track, and are thankful for our efforts to keep all of us safe, we sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support.

KEEP POINTS TO KNOW and REMEMBER we are working under the “arrive, play and leave” mentality. Groups may not gather before during or after activities (no tailgating, etc.). You will NOT be able to go into any section but the one your tickets are in. You will NOT be able to leave the grandstand area to go out to your vehicle. NO ONE will be able to come out of the pits to see you. You can NOT arrive before the gates open to save your seats. You will be required to provide your name and phone number for contact tracing purposes. Again we are working under the “arrive, play and leave” mentality.

General Admission tickets $12.00 adults, $10.00 seniors & teens, $2.00 kids. Pit entry fee is $30.00 for 2020 Registered members, and $35.00 for non-members- (total of front gate and pit gate fees) must be over the age of eleven to enter the pits.

Gates will open at 3:00pm gates and will be closed at 7:00 pm. No entry will be allowed after that time. You will be required to enter your designated ticket area or pits immediately upon arrival, there will be no “tailgating” before during or after the events. Racing will kick into gear at 6:00 pm(ish), based on track conditions.  Once the events have concluded for the evening everyone will be required to leave the facility. Once you enter designated ticket area or the pits you will not be able to leave, (there will be no reentry), if you leave you will be required to leave the property immediately.
