Week two of the 58th season of racing at the Ridge canceled due to weather.
For Immediate Release BRS-05102025-1
The 58thseason of racing is getting off to a rough start at the Ridge with the first two weeks impacted by bad weather. After a long struggle to get in the opening day festivities the rains continued for most of the week, making for a very wet facility, and the need to pull the plug on week two. Promoter C.V. Elms, as we know, tries to do everything he can to get the show in, but unfortunately even with the break in the weather forecast for late in the day, the track and ground conditions were just too wet. In an effort to save what we have, it was decided to pull the plug, and hope that over the next week we will get some sun and wind to dry out the saturated grounds and be able to get racing truly underway at the Ridge.
Coming up this Saturday May 17th sponsored by Ron’s Fix it Shop of Claremont is the season opener for the VP Racing Fuels DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds Eastern Region series. The Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds will host the event and are ready to welcome any outsiders who think they have what it takes to make it around the famed quarter mile clay oval and beat the seasoned veterans. In addition, the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; Xtreme DIRTcar DMA Midgets; LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks; and the Woodsville Power Equipment Bobcat Ridge Runners will be on hand to offer some great racing excitement for the fans. The Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Sportsman Modifieds Limited and the High Country Dispensary Late Models are off.
This is a special admission show at $18.00 for ages 16 to 61; $15.00 for ages 62 and up, and 12 to 15; with kids 11 and under are $2.00. All fans under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Military Discounts are available at $5.00 off for those with a valid ID.
