Feature winners for the Swenson Insurance night at the Ridge: Jason Gray in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Jason Horniac for the overlall in the DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes, Seth Carlson in the USAC DMA Midgets; Matt Piper in the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models, Jesse Dunham in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stockers, Jason Porter in the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders, and Tom Chaffee and Brando Igo in the Granite State Mini Sprints 500 and 600’s.
Jason Gray get win number three in the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds beating out Jordan Fornwalt. Mike Dunn starting on the pole position was able to hold on to final victory lane spot coming home in third. Matt Lashua and Mike Ryan rounded out the top five.
He is on a roll and a long time coming in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes, as Jason Horniac gets his second win with a second-place finish in between in three weeks. Joining Horniac in victory lane was Tadd Kingsbury and Brian Chaffee, with his best finish of the season. Josh Harrington and Ryan Christian rounded out the top five.
Seth Carlson gets win number two in the USAC DMA Midgets getting past Melvin Pierson halfway thru the event who held on for second his best performance to date. Justin Phillips after a tough heat race finishs third with Joe Krawiec and Manny Dias complete the top five.
In the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models Matt Piper grabs the win over John Neddo and Nicholas Longley who joined him in victory lane. Tyler Maxham and Tyler Tremblay completed the top five.
In the LaValley’s Building Supply Dirt Stockers it was Jesse Dunham on top with Lucas Wheeler and Phil Hayes the ones joining him in victory lane. Troy Prentice and Ron Alger finished out the top five.
Jason Porter was back on top in the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders winning both his heat race and feature for the night. Bobby Bell and Dustin Towle completed the top five. Buddy Welch and Dennis Perry completed the top five.
The Granite State Mini Sprints finally made their first appearance at the Ridge. In the 500cc dad and son take 1st and 2nd with Tom Chaffee getting the win over Riley Chaffee. Donny Sharp Jr joined them in the final victory lane spot. Cody Willette and Eric Relations completed the top five. In the 600cc’sBrandon Igo is declared the winner with Mark Wiggett in second and Kyle Gisleson in third. David Bodio and Anthony Marvuglio finished out the top five. The Granite State Mini Sprints are scheduled to be back in action on Saturday August 22nd with their Lenny West Memorial.
The Mike Estrada State Farm 4 Cylinder Enduro will be returning for action on Saturday August 29th.
The WYKR Sprint Cars of New England return to action on August 15, 2020.
Racing action will resume this coming Saturday August 15th with “Old Timers night” sponsored by Sabil & Sons. The night will offer a full card of racing for the 99Rock weekly racing series, with the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes, CA Miller Limited Late Models, LaValley’s Dirt Stockers , and the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders. Plus the WYKR Sprint Cars of New England.
We continue to work with limited fans in the stands with designating seating. As per the designated VT state guidelines, we can and will continue to enforce social distancing and face coverings at all times. All people entering the property will be required to wear face coverings at all times, (if you cannot wear a mask stay home) and to be temperature checked. If you have a favorite section, you may want to reserve your tickets by emailing brsdirt@charter.net by Thursday August 13th Any requests received after that cannot be filled, but tickets are available at the gate. We want to again thank everyone for their continued cooperation, we continue to work to improve our process and procedures, and from what we are hearing most fans are very happy to be back at the track, and are thankful for our efforts to keep all of us safe, we sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support.
KEEP POINTS TO KNOW and REMEMBER we are working under the “arrive, play and leave” mentality. Groups may not gather before during or after activities (no tailgating, etc.). You will NOT be able to go into any section but the one your tickets are in. You will NOT be able to leave the grandstand area to go out to your vehicle. NO ONE will be able to come out of the pits to see you. You can NOT arrive before the gates open to save your seats. You will be required to provide your name and phone number for contact tracing purposes. Again we are working under the “arrive, play and leave” mentality.
General Admission tickets $15.00 adults, $12.00 seniors & teens, $2.00 kids. Pit entry fee is $30.00 for 2020 Registered members, and $35.00 for non-members- (total of front gate and pit gate fees) must be over the age of eleven to enter the pits.
Gates will open at 3:00pm gates and will be closed at 7:00 pm. No entry will be allowed after that time. You will be required to enter your designated ticket area or pits immediately upon arrival, there will be no “tailgating” before during or after the events. Racing will kick into gear at 6:00 pm(ish), based on track conditions. Once the events have concluded for the evening everyone will be required to leave the facility. Once you enter designated ticket area or the pits you will not be able to leave, (there will be no reentry), if you leave you will be required to leave the property immediately.
April May and Butch are now on air with Stephen John for all the updates happening at the Ridge every Friday morning from 6:30 to 7:00 on WYKR.
Bear Ridge Speedway is as an alcohol-free family friendly entertainment spot, with our goal to make each experience at the Ridge better than the last. Remember “Dirt where every lap is the last lap” we continue to offer the best source of good inexpensive high-quality entertainment for families.
