DJ Robinson gets the win in the DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds
Chris Murray overall winner in the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks
Event seventeen of the 55th consecutive season of racing at the Ridge.

For Immediate Release BRS-09032022-1

The Valley Floors feature winners of the 55th consecutive racing season in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds was DJ Robinson, Tad Kingsbury in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes; USAC DMA Midgets OFF, Matt Lashua in the R&L Auto Towing and Recovery, the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks Overall Chris Murray; Peanuts Auto LLC Ridge Runners Dilyn Switser. Clay Dow 360 Sprints (SCoNE).
Jason Gray knows it isn’t over yet in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, as he rallies back for a fourth-place finish adding a bit of padding to his points lead as he looks for his third championship in a row. Gray fell one spot short of victory lane as we watched the battle for the lead be won by DJ Robinson. Robinson beat out Jordan Fornwalt who crossed in second and Melvin Pierson who held on for the third-place spot. Robert Tucker rounded out the top five.
Tad Kingsbury appears to be uncatchable in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes, as he adds another win to his repertoire, number six, in his quest to win his third championship in a row. While it is not over till it is over, with still a double point night to come, Kingsbury needs to basically just show up and take the green to get it done. That doesn’t mean there still isn’t plenty of racing excitement and a strong points battle for the runner up position with Tim Hodge and Ricky Sanville just two points a part after the nights event. Sanville closed the gap with his comeback finish from last week to third just behind Matt Ellsworth who crossed the line in second still looking for his first win of the season. Josh Harrington and Jason Horniak rounded out the top five.
The USAC DMA Midgets were off, returning to action on September 10th.
The points battle is going to be a barn burner in the R & L Auto Towing & Recovery Late Models as Ryan Christian and Matt Lashua continue to knock each other off the top weekly. This week Lashua is found back on top with his feature win. Christian in a backup car would not make it to victory lane having to settle for a fourth-place finish. Kelly Miller and Tyler Tremblay would be the two to join Lashua. With Todd Dunham finishing in fifth.

It was MADNESS night for the LaValley Building Supply Dirt Stocks with the competitors going for just over eight thousand dollars in lap and purse money. With lap money and double points on the line, they seemed to settle down a bit and were able to run three twenty lap segments. Segment one was won by Chris Murray, with segment two going to John Fields, and segment three being claimed by Andrew Fitzgerald. The overall winner of the night was Chris Murray who beat out John Fields and Lucas Wheeler, who is scored in third by virtue of his one spot better finish in segment three to break a tie. Garrett Brown is the one in fourth with Andrew Fitzgerald taking fifth.

Dilyn Switser was not about to let happen to him last week happen again this week, as he beat out Travis King for his second win of the season in the Peanuts Auto LLC Ridge Runners. King held off Logan Martin for second. Zach Audet and Jason Porter completed the top five. The championship points battle is tight in the Ridge Runners as Logan Martin is holding on with a twelve-point margin over Kevin LaForest, who is only ten points ahead of Devon Spinks. This championship will surely come down to the wire, showing that competition is tough and this is still anyone’s crown.

The Joe Mama’s Sporting Goods 4/6 Cylinder Enduro return to action on September 24.

The 360 Sprints (SCoNE) made their final appearance at the Ridge with seventeen strong winged machines battling for the win. When the checkers waved it was Clay Dow for the win beating out Chris Donnelly who crossed in second and Matt Hoyt taking third. Luke Greenwood and Caleb Lamson rounded out the top five.
The top five in Bear Ridge Speedway Points of the 360 Sprints will be recognized at the annual awards banquet on November 12th.
