Champs crowned for the 2019 99Rock Weekly racing series divisions at the Ridge

For Immediate Release BRS-0920-2119-1

Jordan Fornwalt gets his first championship in the Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds, Melvin Pierson grabs it in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes, Rookie Tyler Tremblay comes out on top in the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models and Jason Porter gets back to back crowns in the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders. Will Hull captures two championships, one in the USAC DMA Midgets, and the other in the WYKR Sprint Cars of New England.
In the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds the 2019 champion ended the season just the way he wanted to with a big win, fending off the hard fought challenges of Jason Gray and Ryan Christian. When the checkers waved on the 100 laps Jordan Fornwalt grabbed the win and solidified his points lead to claim the championship. Gray and Christian held on for second and third. Todd Budwold and Richie Simmons rounded out the top five.
Melvin Pierson bets out Brian Chaffee for the championship in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes by taking the green securing the points lead. Tanner Siemons sets fast time and the pole in the first heat for their fifty lap event. A draw for invert placed him third in the line up for their 50 lap main. He quickly got to front of the pack and was able to hold off Thomas Placey and Jeremy Hodge to grab the checkers. Brian Chaffee and Cody Copeland rounded out the top five.
The final night of the season holds a special race for the feature winners and their crew members. In 2019 there were nine feature winners who were able to take part in the “Bear Ridge Growler” for the modifieds and twelve for the coupes. The winner of the Modifieds goes to Jason Gray, and the winner of the coupes goes to Jeremy Hodge.
The USAC DMA Midgets concluded the 2019 season with a three-segment event. The champion needed to simply take the green to secure his title. Luckily his car stayed together just long enough, giving Will Hull the crown. Time trials set the lineup for the first event, with Joe Krawiec getting the point with fastest time. He would hold on to the point for the 10-lap event crossing first with Justin Phillips in second and Dean Christensen in third. Segment two, 15 laps was inverted from segment one for those on the track, this would give Wayne Koehler the point to start the race. When the checkers waved on segment two Mike Chaffee would see them first with Jeff Champagne and Dean Christensen tight behind him. The invert for the final segment of 20 laps had Owen Carbee setting the pace. This segment had Joe Krawiec back on top with Tyler Rivard coming home in second and Christensen once again in third. The overall top five were Joe Krawiec, Justin Phillips, Dean Christensen, Mike Chaffee, and Jeff Horn
In the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models John Neddo grabs the win in segment one, with Ryan Christian and Kelly Miller second and third. Ryan Christian gets the win in the second one, with Tyler Maxham and John Neddo second and third. The overall top five got to Ryan Christian for the win with John Neddo and Kelly Miller second and third. Tyler Tremblay and Tyler Maxham completed the top five.
Jason Porter will be crowned with winning the 2019 championship, with Buddy Welch claiming the oveall night’s battle in the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders. Welch claimed the win for both segments with Porter coming home in second in segment one with Zach Audet in third. Segment had Tim StJohn following Welch across the finish line with Rick Stygles in third. Overall top five were Buddy Welch, Tim StJohn, Zach Audet, Kevin LaForest and Garret Brown.
It was two twenty lap events for the Bear Ridge Speedway WYKR Sprint Cars of New England. Clay Dow gets the win in the first segment beating out Kurt Conklin and John Scarborough. Chris Donnelly and Jacob Williams rounded out the top five. The checkers of the second segment had Will Hull crossing the line first with Jacob Williams second and Clay Dow third. Kevin Chaffee and Travis Billington completed the top five.
The Mike Estrada State Farm 4/6 Cylinder Enduros put on yet another great event with over fourty cars taking the green. As usually a lot of wild rides were had, and when the checkers waved it was Karl Sheldon over Joh LaForest and Aren Keene. Joe Doucette and Brian Robinson rounded out the top five.
Tommy Keith is on a roll grabbing another win in the Twin State Dirt Stocks over Lucas Wheeler and Matt Piper.
