For Immediate Release BRS-030219-1

Bear Ridge Speedway is ready to kick off its 52nd year of racing with an action-packed schedule that will surely put the fans on the edge of their seats each and every week.
The first glimpse and meet and greet will be the shows in the Upper Valley where some of the cars and stars will be in the month of April. First up will be at Newport Chevrolet in Newport NH. The sponsor of our double header weekend September 20th and 21st. We are scheduled to be on location in Newport on Saturday April 20th. Then we will be moving to the Upper Valley on the strip for our regular annual show which is followed by practice at the Ridge for cars present at the show. More information for all our shows to follow.
Saturday May 4th the gates will swing open for our 52nd consecutive season of racing. The festivities will start in down town Bradford for our annual Bradford car show 10:00 to 1:00. Fans will be able to judge on the sleek machines to determine the best three in each division. From there you can head up the hill to watch practice from 2:00-4:00 and then the track will start its regular programing for the night’s activities. Opening night once again is sponsored FMS NAPA Auto Parts of Bradford VT.
The price of a regular show general admission (front gate) ticket will remain the same as it has over the past decade for adults (ages 17 to 61) at $10.00 a person and children 11 and under $2.00. Teens 12 to 16 and seniors 62 and older will be able to enjoy the racing in 2019 at just $8.00.
The price of the back gate (pit entrance) will also remain the same for Bear Ridge Speedway 2019 license holders and non-license holders. For Bear Ridge Speedway and DIRTcar 2017 license holders the back gate (pit gate) will is $25.00 and non-license holders is $30.00 (both of these prices are in addition to the front gate ticket.) In order to be eligible for the Bear Ridge Speedway points fund, and recognized at the annual awards banquet, drivers will have to hold a 2018 Bear Ridge Speedway, DIRTcar or SCoNE license, compete in the required number of events, and run on track designated tires as indicated in the rule book.
Also be sure to check out the website for any rules changes and updates. 2019 will see the Ridge returning to the three week average handicapping system.
You do the math, in today’s economy you will be hard pressed to find entertainment that is perfect for the whole family at less than these rates. Racing is the number one spectator sport in the country with over 750 dirt facilities running nationwide, so if you haven’t been up to the Ridge in a while or at all why not check it out in 2019.
Remember in today’s society we could all use a little more family entertainment, and the Ridge is your best place to be for just that. The admission price is more than reasonable; the show top-notch, the food superior, and the family friendly atmosphere is just what you are looking for.
2019 driver and crew membership applications have been mailed out to all prior season’s competitors and are now available on the website where you can download them. Be sure to get yours sent in before opening night to save on the lines.
Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Racing opening night May 4th begins at the 5:30-ish and from there will be at our famous “6:00-ish” start time starting Saturday May 10th.
