Bear Ridge Speedway “the fastest dirt track in Vermont” is once again proud to announce the return of the DIRTcar Sportsman VP Racing Fuels “East Region Series” to the Ridge in 2023. The events in 2022 were a huge success with the fans afforded a 4 wide parade lap a first ever for the DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds at the Ridge. Because of the huge success and with ten of the top 15 in the overall points standing at the end of the series coming from the Ridge, the Ridge is proud to announce that they will be hosting once again two events for the series in 2023.
The first event, which is race two of the series will be on May 13th sponsored by Forwards Garage & Plumbing LLC’s. Promoters C.V. “Butch” and April May are very excited to be able to be a part of this series and honored to be afforded two dates for our drivers and fans. The second date the series will invade the Ridge will be on Saturday July 29th. The series will kick off at Plattsburgh on April 29th. With the hosting of two events and knowing that several of the Ridge drivers will be strong contenders for the overall championship of this series, these are must see events. There is also an expectation promoter/owner CV “Butch” Elms a multi-track champion of the Ridge will once again be competing in the series. Be sure to check the web site and our face book page for more information about this series.
The Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds put on a great show weekly at the Ridge and being able to host a series event at the hidden ¼ mile clay oval gem in the hills of Vermont is truly an honor. Several of the legends of the Ridge will be competing in the series, making the trek to New York for the other four events. Will Jeremy Huntoon be able to advance his overall points standings in 2023 from second to 1st or CV Butch Elms form 4th? Rest assured Michael Wagner-Fitzgerald will be ready to give them a run for their money as well as one of the Bear Ridge Speedway regulars such as Todd Buckwold, Richie Simmons, or Robert Tucker.
