Week 3 of the 56th consecutive season of racing at the Ridge a complete wash out.

For Immediate Release BRS-052020231

The Ron’s Fix It Shop event succumbed to rain, but not without a valent fight as is always the case by Promoter/Owner C.V. “Butch” Elms.
With the odds at about even for rain to come into the area around 10:00 pm, management went with the gamble to try to get the show in for the competitors and fans. Several smart phones monitored the radar, which up until about 5:30 showed promise of being able to get the show in. Unfortunately, a wind shift opened the skies just before 6:00 pm and the updated radar showed that Mother Nature was going to win this battle. Reluctantly Elms conceded to the loss, and everyone was sent home. With no heats recorded for the night, it is considered a complete wash out. The scheduled events will not be made up. Management will work with the sponsor to get them back at a later date. We sincerely thank everyone who made the trip out and appreciate you all.
