Earl Maxham gets his first win in the DIRTcar Wells River Chevrolet Sportsman Coupes
Josh Sunn back on top in the DIRTcar Sabil & Sons Sportsman Modifieds
Bear Ridge Speedway’s 11th event of 50th season of racing.

For Immediate Release BRS-072217-1
Record making stunts, rain, wild rides and plenty of racing was afforded the fans on the VP Fuels-Hoosier Tire East night of racing.
The Sabil & Sons DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds hit the track knowing it would be fast. Josh Sunn coming back from his wild ride in the USAC DMA Midgets in 2016 brought his Corsi Property Maintenance machine from the back to the front to take the lead and sale on for an emotional win for all. Ryan Christian worked him hard but was unable to make the move for first settling for the runner up position. Joining the two in victory lane was Robert Tucker. Derek Graham and Matt Lashua completed the top five.
Another new winner is recorded in the Wells River Chevrolet DIRTcar Sportsman Coupes, as Earl Maxham was able to hold off the pack to grab the win. The track freshly packed after a two hour rain delay was fast and just to Maxham’s liking. Jason Colbeth and Brian Chaffee would join him in victory lane. Chaffee’s strong finish gives him the point lead the first time another driver has led the points than Melvin Pierson. Josh Harington and Gene Pierson completed the top five.
The Laquerre’s Sports USAC DMA Midgets were off and will return for action July 29th.
It was Madness night for the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models. They collected enough laps to run two segments. Segment one was won by Wayland Childs with Ryan Christian coming home in second. Segment two the top two were reversed giving Christian the overall win as the tie being broken by the second segment finish. John Neddo was credited with the third place finish overall with kevin Dickenson and Corey Kenison rounding out the top five.
Buddy Welch gets another win in the Weglarz Property Service. Joining him in victory lane were Bobby Bell and Jason Porter. Kelly Miller and Frank Putney completed the top five.
For the WYKR Sprint Cars of New England Kevin Chaffee takes the checkers. In the Granite state Mini Sprints Matt Calley is the winner in the 500cc and Ben Bachard in the 600 cc
