Bear
Ridge Speedway driver registration continues, with the Bond Auto Parts Sportsman
Modifieds and WYKR Ridge Runner Hornets taking the lead early in the numbers
game, as to which divisions have the most drivers so far.
It
is no surprise that the Bond Auto Parts Sportsman Modifieds see an early
increase in the car count over last year in this new division. With the amount
of excitement and interest being generated about this division the Ridge is
expecting to be able to offer some great racing excitement in this division as
well as all of the rest whom will be competing on a weekly basis at the Ridge.
Two
of these mighty Modifieds will be on hand for display on March 14th
& 15th at the Diamond Run Mall in Rutland Vermont, Ron
Casey driver of the #20 of Manchester Center Vermont and Frank
Hoard Jr driver of the #78 of White Hall New York will be displaying their
newly attired machines at the mall.
From
there the Ridge will have a display at the 2008 Home Life show held at the
Leveron Field House in Hanover NH on March 20, 21, and 22nd with the #5
machine of Gary Siemons of Orford NH. Moving into April you will be able to
see the cars and star from the Ridge, Riverside (Groveton), Devils Bowl, Twin
State Speedway, New England Karting Association, Thunder Road, Sugar Hill,
Granite State Mini Sprints and more at the Upper Valley car show hosted by Bear
Ridge Speedway and sponsored this year by US Cellular at the Price
Chopper/Borders/Wal-Mart Plaza in West Lebanon plaza! From there it will be
quiet until the official Bear Ridge Speedway Car Show to be held at the Bradford
Mini Mart in Bradford VT on May 3rd followed by a “test and tune”
session at the track which will be FREE to the fans (general grandstands).
When
the season’s opening flag waves on May 10th general admission
tickets will be for adults (ages 17 to 61) $10.00 a person, children 11 and
under free, $8.00 for teens 12 to 16 and seniors 62 and older. Season
