Bond Auto Parts Inc. signs on as divisional sponsor of the Sportsman Modifieds for the 2008 racing season at Bear Ridge Speedway.

Bond Auto Parts with twenty five locations in Vermont and ten in New Hampshire can be found around the corner in just about any town you might be in within in the twin state area. Bond Auto Parts, Inc. was founded in Barre, Vermont by Earl Bond in 1956. The first store was opened on March 1, 1956. Bond Auto Parts Vice President of Marketing, Mark Mast and Promoter of Bear Ridge Speedway C.V. Butch” Elms, feel that with Bond Auto’s long standing history in Vermont, it makes perfect sense for the family of Bond to join the Bear Ridge family as the divisional Sponsor of the Sportsman Modifieds.  Bear Ridge Speedway is located within ten miles of two stores, one in Bradford, the other in Woodsville, NH along with several others easily reached within a twenty five mile radius of the track, with the Ridge’s race teams and fans located within the ever expanding marketing area of Bond Auto Parts Inc. Mast and Elms are both very excited about this marketing endeavor for 2008. Remember for all your auto parts needs be sure to stop by your local store to find what you are looking for.

Mekkelsen RV a long standing supporter will continue to be the Mid Season Championship race sponsor, this year scheduled for July 12, 2008.

The annual Bear Ridge Speedway where the cars and stars are judged on their overall appearance and race ready status will be held at the same location it has been for the past several years, on the corners of Rte 25 and 5 at the Bradford Mini Mart, in Bradford VT on May 3rd from 10 am to 2 pm. A test and tune session will follow with free general admission for the fans, and your first chance in 2008 to get your Bear Ridge burger and fries. Bear Ridge Speedway is where you can find some of the best dirt racing action in New England, and it is also the only place where you will find homemade burgers and fries.  

Opening night for competition is scheduled for May 10th sponsored by NAPA KDD of Bradford VT. On hand will be all five divisions at the Ridge, including the Bond Auto Parts Sportsman Modifieds, Gilmour Ford Sportsman Coupe, A Notch Above IMCA Mods, the Journal Onion Fast Fours, and the WYKR Ridge Runner Hornets.

The price of a general admission ticket will remain the same as it has over the past nine years for adults (ages 17 to 61) at $10.00 a person and children 11 and under as always free. Seniors and teens will also be the same rate as 2007 at $8.00 for teens 12 to 16 and seniors 62 and older. Season passes are available for general admission. Adults are $150.00, Seniors and Teens $130.00. Bear Ridge Speedway continues to offer the best source of good inexpensive high quality entertainment for families.

2008 membership and car owner applications are now available on line or by calling 603/222-4052. Be sure to get your applications in by March 1st to get the reduced rate, and your car number if you are a driver. All numbers will be available on a first come first serve basis after March 1st.  2008 rules have been sent to all registered 2007 drivers, and are available on the web or by calling the above number.

Bear Ridge Speedway is as an alcohol free family friendly entertainment spot, with our goal to make each experience at the Ridge better than the last. When it comes to Dirt racing, “Every lap is the Last Lap”!
